Beginning with May, current year, EveryChild Moldova supported by UNICEF is launching a new project in reforming residential child care system in the Republic of Moldova with a special regard for auxiliary schools for children with special educational needs.
In January, 2010 EveryChild Moldova have trained around 100 local public authority representatives: such as social assistants, specialists in the aged people problems and child’ rights protection, in psycho-social counseling and education, as well as local NGO leaders and volunteers from 10 rural and urban areas of the country.
[STRASBOURG, 4 February 2010] – The Committee of Ministers has adopted a text recommending that Member States no longer place children with disabilities in institutional care and instead give preference to community living.
