The Moldovan branch of the London-based EveryChild charity has been working in Moldova since 1995. Currently, collaborating with Chisinau, Cahul, Ungheni, Orhei, Soroca and Tiraspol local public authorities, EveryChild develops programs focused on the prevention of child abandonment and of children’s institutionalisation, as well as on children’s social rehabilitation and their family reintegration. At the same time, nationally, EveryChild implements a technical assistance program in child policy reform in the area of child and family protection, collaborating with the Government of Moldova. The organisation’s objectives are focused on ensuring the child’s right to grow up in a safe and protective family environment, which favours the child’s development. These objectives are attained through promoting, developing and implementing policies, legal framework and corresponding community based services.

The mission of EveryChild Moldova is to empower families, communities, and the government to ensure the right to the child deprived of parental care or at risk of being separated from parents, a safe family environment that creates optimum conditions for the child’s development. Together we plead for meeting the rights of the children, as stipulated in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Children.
